Got into a car accident with an expired insurance

My car insurance had just expired for 7 hours when I got into a car accident – I had mailed in my payment but for some reason it had not posted on my account at the time of my accident – I have been with this insurance company for over 25 years with no previous history of any accidents or non payments. Please help

the damages will have to be paid by you personally because your insurance was not renewed on time. A min delay will also not change the insurance rules for you. You did not mention where you are from.

If the check wasn't cleared by the due date then you don't have much to fight for and you are responsible for paying for the damages.
