Do you have to go to driving schools to get a driving permit

My uncle just move to U.S. about 2 months ago and is looking to obtain his drivers license. Does he need to go to a driving school in order to get his driving permit?

yes in order to obtain drivers license your uncle will have to go to a driving school as he is from outside of US.

I would strongly suggest to have him attend a driving school regardless of the fact if it is required or not. He is going to learn a lot of the laws which are new to him which in fact could save him from costly tickets or accidents.

Yes, you have to attend driving school in order to obtain a driver's license. There's usually a set requirement for a minimum number of hours of class and then you would take a written test and an actually test behind the wheel.
