San Fransisco traffic ticket

San Fransisco traffic ticket

Postby 49ersfan4eve » Fri Feb 12, 2010 7:41 pm

I got a moving violation ticket in San Fransisco last month while visiting my sister. Unfortunately I live in San Diego and I am thinking of contesting the ticket. Is there a way that I can do it locally instead of having to drive up north?

I believe you have to do all your court work (paying for the bail or contesting the ticket) at the district court where you had originally received your citation in.

unless you think you have a solid case then don't waste your time driving up to San Fransisco for your court. Just pay for your ticket as soon as possible by either mailing it in or online.

Paying the transportation costs of getting up to the bay area already outweigh the fight to win the court case. There's almost no reason to really go up there if you're all the way down in SD. San Francisco is super far from San Diego. Just pay and walk away. Sometimes you just got to fold them.
